They remain the most compact and lowest-maintenance option within Regency.

Living at Babcock Ranch

Babcock Ranch is billed as America's first solar-powered town, drawing its electricity from the Florida Power & Light solar energy center built alongside the community. Its most cited moment came in September 2022, when Hurricane Ian made landfall in Southwest Florida as a Category 4 storm: Babcock Ranch's buried utility lines, elevated construction, and stormwater design carried the town through with minimal damage and without losing power, while surrounding Charlotte and Lee counties suffered widespread outages. The town has grown quickly. As of August 2026, Babcock Ranch counted more than 15,000 residents across upwards of 5,000 occupied homes. Two golf clubs operate within Babcock Ranch, both outside Regency's gates: Babcock National, an 18-hole private course designed by Gordon Lewis, and Webb's Reserve, a Nicklaus Design course managed by Troon that plays to 7,034 yards from the championship tees and offers public tee times.

For families with school-age children in the household, Babcock Ranch is served by Babcock Elementary School (K–5), Babcock Middle School (6–8), and Babcock High School (9–12) — tuition-free public charter schools authorized by the Charlotte County School District.
